Service Projects

Monthly Service Days

Thursday, February 28, 2013. The Kiwanis Club of Brecksville did a service project of making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for St. Malachi Church in Cleveland for their homeless mission work.

Thursday, October 18, 2012. Under the direction of member LeAnn Brusk, the Kiwanis Club of Brecksville made six fleece blankets for the Guidestone Ohio (Berea Children’s Home.) This is in keeping with our goal of one service project a month during our weekly meetings. We welcome any ideas for other service projects to be preformed by our organization on a Thursday evening.

Friday, August 24, 2012. One of the service projects of the Kiwanis Club of Brecksville is to build wheelchair accessible ramps for residents in the city of Brecksville. The projects meet the Federal requirements of the Disability Act and the design is approved by the city. On Friday, August 24, Tom Moore, Jim Carl, Kevin Brusk, Doug Huth and Bill Rittman built a ramp for a resident on Brecksville Road. The recipient of the ramp supplies the materials while the Kiwanis Club does the design and supplies the manpower to build the ramp.

Thursday, July 19, 2012. The Kiwanis Club of Brecksville participated in a service project of making peanut butter sandwiches for the Saint Malachi Center in downtown Cleveland. The Kiwanis Club is dedicating one Thursday evening a month for service projects. We welcome anyone to join us to help make Greater Cleveland “The Best Location in the Nation.” Please contact Bill Rittman 440-526-5618 or Jim McAllister 216-835-8355 to find out more about Kiwanis activities.
